Securing Funding for Critical Infrastructure Projects
Wauchope, NSW – Federal Member for Lyne, Alison Penfold, is pleased to announce a significant step forward in addressing the infrastructure needs of the Lyne electorate. Following a productive meeting with the Federal Minister for Infrastructure, the Hon Catherine King MP, Alison has secured commitments to expedite the design and planning work for several critical intersections, including Italia Road, Medowie Road, and Bucketts Way.
"The safety and efficiency of our local roads are paramount to the well-being and economic prosperity of our community," said Alison Penfold. "These intersections are not just thoroughfares; they are lifelines that connect our residents, support our businesses, and ensure the smooth flow of goods and services."
The Minister agreed to provide a detailed timetable for the commencement of these projects, which have been a long-standing priority for the Lyne electorate. "I am committed to holding both state and federal governments accountable for delivering on their promises," Alison added. "With funding in place from both tiers of government, it is crucial that we see swift action to improve these dangerous intersections."
Alison also raised the importance of advancing the Houston Mitchell Drive project to the same planning and design phase. "This project is essential for enhancing connectivity and supporting the growth of our region. I will continue to push for its inclusion in the NSW Government's 10-year priorities to ensure it moves forward without delay."
The community's safety and economic development remain at the forefront of Alison's agenda, and she is dedicated to ensuring that these infrastructure projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
