$150,000 AVAILABLE FOR COMMUNITY PROJECTS ACROSS LYNE

Federal Member for Lyne Alison Penfold is inviting local community organisations to submit expressions of interest for Round 10 of the Stronger Communities Programme.

A total of $150,000 is available across the Lyne electorate, with grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 available for up to 20 eligible small capital projects.

Ms Penfold said the program was an opportunity to support the local organisations that bring people together and strengthen communities across the region.

“Community groups across Lyne are powered by dedicated volunteers who give their time and energy to make our towns better places to live,” Mrs Penfold said.

“These grants can help organisations complete practical projects such as upgrading facilities, improving accessibility, purchasing essential equipment, or delivering other small-scale infrastructure improvements.

“Even a relatively modest grant can make a significant difference to a local hall, sporting club, service organisation, or community facility.

“I encourage eligible organisations with a worthwhile project in mind to submit an Expression of Interest.”

Eligible applicants include incorporated not-for-profit organisations, non-distributing cooperatives, companies limited by guarantee, Australian Indigenous corporations, eligible religious organisations, and local councils.

Funding may cover up to 100 per cent of eligible project costs for eligible not-for-profit organisations. Local councils must contribute at least 50 per cent of eligible project costs.

Following the expression-of-interest process, selected organisations will be nominated and invited to submit a formal application to the Australian Government.

Expressions of interest must be submitted to Alison Penfold MP’s office by 5pm on Monday 2nd November 2026.
